Meyer (1826-1909). The Bibliographisches Institut quickly gained prominence. It published collections of German, Greek, and Roman classics, books on historical and natural sciences, maps, engravings, and much more. Meyer’s publishing house became famous for its illustrated series “Meyer's Universum” and "Meyer's Encyclopedic Lexicon."
