• Free Masons: Rare and unique titled antique lithograph, 1897.
Originally the engraving "Free Masons" – a print from a copper plate – was engraved by D. von Herrliberger based on originals by Bernard Picard. D. Herrliberger, Zurich, 1746 and published in the work "Holy Ceremonies and Church Customs of Christians Throughout the World." ("Heilige Ceremonien und Kirchen-Gebräuche der Christen in der ganzen Welt.") This work was subsequently reprinted multiple times in various years. This leaf (sheet) was issued in 1897. The sheet depicts a hall for Masonic gatherings, Les Free-Massons. In the center is depicted the head of the lodge who points to a Mason with a set square in his hands. To the right is a group of men listening to a reader. In the upper central medallion is a portrait of Sir Richard Steele and a crest with the motto: Jay Bonne case. The sheet features coats of arms of Masonic lodges in various countries. Sheet size: approximately 25.5 x 20.5 cm.
